READER BUILD: 1965 BUG, 30 YEARS IN THE MAKING
A father-son project that finally hit the road last summer.
James writes: "Dad bought this car in 1994 from a neighbor for $400. We pulled the engine that summer and it never went back together — until I had a kid of my own and decided we'd finish what he started."
The result is a tasteful, mostly stock-appearing build with a 1776cc engine, IRS swap, and a freshened up interior.
